Our Offerings
Joyful Recovery Sangha offers a compassionate, Buddhist-based approach to healing from addiction and compulsive behaviors. Rooted in mindfulness, community, and the transformative power of the Buddha’s teachings, we provide weekly meetings, guided meditations, educational resources, and supportive connections for those on the path of recovery.
At the heart of our offerings are weekly peer-led 8-Step Recovery meetings, which draw from the work of Dr. Valerie (Vimalasara) Mason-John, M.A. (hon doc) and Dr. Paramabandhu Groves. These gatherings combine Buddhist principles with practical recovery tools, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where participants can explore spiritual and emotional healing together.
We also host silent meditation sessions every Saturday morning, open to anyone seeking to deepen their mindfulness practice. Additionally, our annual all-day virtual retreats offer opportunities for more focused reflection, learning, and community connection.
What makes Joyful Recovery Sangha unique is our commitment to being a fully peer-led, online community, welcoming individuals from all walks of life who are seeking recovery and refuge through a Buddhist lens.
